Denver's No. 2 cornerback Tracy Porter is hoping to play this week. But the key word is 'hope'.

Porter, who missed last week's game vs. the Chargers because of an illness, practiced today in Denver's first practice since Wednesday. However, it was non-contact work only.

With Porter out last week, the Broncos harassed quarterback Philip Rivers into six total turnovers – including five in the second half alone. Denver's normal nickel cornerback Chris Harris, started the game in place of Porter and had two interceptions, including one that was returned for the game-clinching touchdown with a little over two minutes remaining in the game.

In Harris' place was Tony Carter, who has bounced on an off of Denver's roster over the past several years. Carter had a fumble return for a touchdown and an interception in the fourth quarter off of Rivers.

With Drew Brees and his plethora of receiving weapons, the Broncos will need Porter to be healthy by gameday.
